Hi guys, my husband and I have just been given an Elddis Hurricane ex2000. Thought we'd join your site and get to know what we're doing before we hitch up for the first time. (need to get a car first though) Really looking forward to regular weekends and holidays

You need to be sure that the car you get is matched to the caravan you have.

Also if you passed your driving test recently check that you are permitted to drive a car and caravan combination of the all up weight of your outfit.

Hi again and thanks so much for your reply and info. We've managed to get ourselves a car. An Audi A4. We're an older couple (40's) and been driving for a long time now It'll be Steve that's doing all the driving though. I don't think Id manage to tow anything!! Just looking forward to planning our first weekend away now ........
